THE FRIENDSHIP WALK: GOING THE EXTRA MILE

Target 2010 miles

Throughout our bicentennial year, Oddfellows members are being encouraged to take part in their very own Friendship Walk.  This is a great way for Oddfellows to either get involved with a Branch event or simply get together with friends for an arranged walk during our celebratory 200th year.

You can read here about recent successful walks organised by Keith Potter.

These walks don’t necessarily have to be a marathon effort; even just walking one mile will help to contribute towards our collective goal of 2010 miles as a Society.

If you wish to organise a walk or take part in an event contact London Social Event Organiser Paul Fitton on 07812 453006 or email him at paul.fitton@oddfellows.co.uk.  Paul will be able to help publicise and organise walks.

Following your walk, we can advise Unity how many miles have been collectively walked at your event.  The figure will be added to our online Walkometer, keeping track of the Society’s progress towards the 2010 mile mark.

You can even walk that mile in the house, garden or to the shops.  Please let me know if you choose to add to the total in this simple way.  You may also swim or cycle if you wish.

Every mile counts!
