Parkland Walk

On Thursday 16 June a small group of members assembled at Highgate tube station
for a walk along a small part of The Capital Ring.
This is a series of linked footpaths, tracks and green spaces,
which provide a 75-mile inner London orbital walking route.

The walk started by following the Parkland Walk.
Styled as London’s longest nature reserve,
it follows the line of a branch of the Great Northern railway,
which closed to traffic in 1970.
The route is now a rough track from where there are
occasional wide views over London.

The walk continued through Finsbury Park and on to Clissold Park
before ending at District Office on Highbury Fields.
